Rachele Watkins-Week 3- Appleton, Wi

Well, I must start off by saying that Stanley and I had an amazing week together, and I'm sad to see him go.  We laughed. We cried. We worked. We Cheered on the Packers.  Well, I'll start at the beginning...

So Stanley's first day here, he arrived just in time to run to Kinko's/Fed Ex Office before we headed into work.  He was very nervous about his lamination, but I assured him that it was for the best.

He laid down very still in the machine and it was over within seconds!  And he was brand new!  He loved how new and shiny he looked...I could barely pull him away from the car mirror.

Then we were off to work!  We arrived a little bit early and Stanley wanted to know what it was like to sit in the 'bosses' chair, so he tried that out.

It was time to get ready for work, so Stanley put on his new work outfit.  He was very excited that we got to match :)

He jumped right into working. In fact he loves working at Build A Bear!  He had so much fun!  He felt like he fit right in! He came back to work the next three days with me!  He made lots of friends!

He helped someone check out.

He helped someone stuff a bear.

Then he talked me into buying him some of his own teddy bears.  He picked out a Star Wars Bear, Bumble (from Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer) and a plain brown teddy :)
He wanted  a picture with all three of his bears:

I turned my back for a minute...just a minute and Stanley had gotten himself stuck inside the stuffer!  He was crying...luckily he knew how to swim through stuffing and was able to stay afloat until I could rescue him!

Then he made friends with a guy with a really nice car :)

It was finally time to leave for work, and we were so excited to have the next couple days off and when we walked outside.....Stanley enjoyed his first snowfall!

We got to enjoy TWO Packer Games together!  He loves the Packers.  We even bought him a Clay Matthews jersey :)  He is verrrryyyy excited that the packers will be in the Super Bowl!

We took a picture together in our Packer attire!

Next he wanted to take a goodbye picture with my sister.

He thinks she looks like Taylor Swift and kept referring to her as T-Swift his entire vacation.

He bought some luggage to keep his clothes and laptop in.

And then he wrote a letter to Whitnie because he's very excited to see her!

P.S. He also helped me get ready for school which starts tomorrow...but out of pure embarrassment he has asked me not to post the pictures of him trying to help me carry my books :)

Flat Stan teaches the kids about the color BLUE! (Jaci M - Week 2 - Dallas, Texas)

Hey girls…

I apologize it took far too long for me to put this blog post up. You know how life hits you in an awful way when you want to get stuff done? Yeah, here. SIL ended up in the hospital on Tuesday night and that’s where I’ve been spending my time outside of work.

[disclaimer: this is missing a couple photos from DH's phone because he doesn't know anymore what time he is off work.... blech! Also, I am kicking myself for the lack of pictures :(

---

We got Flat Stanley on New Years Eve.

DH checked the mail and I ripped open the envelope from Emily and he popped out! It was fairly exciting. Our dogs loved him, which maybe wasn’t a great thing O_o.

My DH works for an organization/facility called Group Dynamix. They host corporate, church, and youth events and private parties. The whole point is teambuilding & leadership training, getting to know each other well, and having fun. At this place there are two very large rooms with a high ropes course, ziplines, pamper pole, climbing wall, and inflatables. to check them out look up Group Dynamix of facebook or go to www.groupdynamix.com

Anyway, we were both scheduled to work a huge party/event on New Years Eve from 8pm to 8am... So flat Stanley came along. UNFORTUNATELY, there was so much work to be done, that FS sat in my purse the whole time L but we can pretend right?! (this is my hubs climbing like the hottie he is)

After New Years eve, we recovered and didn’t get up until 5pm that evening. We decided on the fly to have a NYE party with a bunch of friends. FS made Amaretto Sours and drank a littttleeeee too much Sweet Tea Vodka… oh wait, that was hubs! No pictures of that debauchery… don’t want to leave any incriminating evidence ;)

On Monday, after a 10 day vacation, I had to go back to work.  I actually cried the night before like a brat and FS was by my side, handing me tissues—he’s quite the sensitive guy… I decided to wait and take him to school with me on Tuesday.

We left for work at 7:30 am after making ourselves a hot cup of java from the Keurig. We both hollered at the guy in traffic who cut us off, and screeched into work at 8:01 am. That week we taught the kiddos about “cold weather”. FS cut out a ton of “mittens” and we color matched them on a chart. He enjoyed doing art the most… we mixed school glue and shaving cream to make puff paint snow and let the kids have at it on a large piece of paper to make a “snow fight” which ended up being a terribly fun mess. We also made penguins.

FS helped me serve the kids lunch… spaghetti (not kidding, worst meal ever for two year olds) but he definitely went back into my purse when it was clean up & potty/diaper time… what a stinker. Apparently he isn’t a fan of potty training!

Once I got all the kids to lay on their mats without screaming or yelling “no!” and running to the other side of the room, it was time for my lunch break. We went to the break room, pulled up a piece of couch and took a well deserved 45 minute nap among several other exhausted teachers. FS was soooo tired.

He was sooo tired that when it was time to go back and let my co-teacher go on her lunch break he still wanted to sleep, but I made him do a little lesson planning first. (I apologize for the horrible quality... it was dark & my phone sucks).

After that was done, I let him have his pick of mat… So he snuggled up to M, one of my craziest children (and cutest too) and snored away for another hour.

FS survived snack time, outside play time, and dancing time (which I have a video of & sent it to their parents but unfortunately can’t post due to privacy issues).

Then he happily waved goodbye to the kids at 5pm and flew out of there with me like a bat out of hell.

I gave him the option to come back to work with me the next three days and he opted out. I guess 1 day with the little jumping beans was enough to make him feel, well, crumpled. (bad pun).
He chilled on the couch, watched lots of the junk on our dvr and snuggled with hubs 7 JP the cat for the remainder of his time.

I loved having FS in my life for a week and I hope he gets to WI soon!!!

Week 2 - Jaci Hynes in Dallas, Texas!

Here is a little teaser post for week 2.

Stan had a blast following me for the past week :) I really don't think he enjoyed spending time with the 14 two year olds I teach, but I also realize that I barely enjoy the time I spend with them too O_o. Career change soon hopefully hahaha.

He also got to shadow hubby at work and climb on a high ropes course ;)

My dogs & kitty loved him and so did my kids at work. He taught them about the color... blue! bahaha.

I can't post many pictures of the children at work because of privacy issues, but I know I have at least 1 picture that doesn't show their faces so I can definitely share that ;) Or I might try blurring out the kids faces.

Look for the realllll post sometime tomorrow ;)
