Week 10 - Stanley's Adventures in Charm City with Kasey!

I first need to say that Stanley had a crazy week here in Baltimore, Maryland. We were busy every day, and we took so many awesome photos together, so I've pulled the best ones to include here. And the most appropriate. You see, Stanley and I had a wild week!

I had been waiting patiently for Stanley for WEEKS, and finally this came in the mail...
He's here!

I knew it HAD to be Stanley inside, and I was right! He popped right on out of the envelope. I immediately told him about our amazing plans for the week ahead. He smiled and seemed up to the challenge!
"I can handle anything!"

The very first thing we had to do was introduce Stanley to our fur-babies, Helo and Gaius.

Helo was curious at first, but wasn't all that interested. Gaius was a different story...

Why, hello Stanley.
I have never met a laminated creature like you before...
I love you!!!
Gaius's love affair with Stanley carried on throughout his visit. Stanley seemed flattered.

The next day, Friday, I took Stanley to school with me. I teach the 6th grade, and I needed Stanley's help getting things in order at school. He was a major asset to have in the classroom!
He helped me organize my desk...

He helped my students pick a good book to read...

And he helped me collect homework from the "In Bin." He particularly LOVED how well he matched it!
The next day was quite eventful. First Stanley went grocery shopping with my husband, and they returned with a special treat for me!

"Aren't they pretty?"

I think Stanley must have suggested it, since my husband usually doesn't think about flowers. WAY TO GO, Stanley!

Later that night, things got a little crazy. You see, I had a bachelorette party to go to for my wonderful cousin who gets married in less than two weeks! When she heard Stanley was in town, she decided she just had to meet him. Well...things didn't take long to get interesting.

First he met the bride to be, and he made friends FAST! See?
"I feel right at home!"
Then we went to dinner, where he helped us give some naughty gifts to her.
"What's a tassel?"
And then the drinking started...

"Mmmmm .... Pinot Grigio!"

"Ooo! Champagne! It's a celebration after all!"

"Awww yeah! Vodka, baby!"
Which ended up leading to Stanley dancing on the lighted table in the club!

"I'm partying like it's 1999!"
I can't say I didn't join him...

Dancing fools!
We had an amazing night! Stanley did a body shot, too, but hey... some things are just too wild for the blogging world!

Stanley with his wedding party groupies.
But a not so amazing Sunday morning. Whoops!

Our last big outing of the week was a much calmer and less alcohol-y one. We went to the Baltimore Orioles game! Of course, I had to buy Stanley a jersey to wear to the game.
"Don't I look fantastic in orange?"

Stanley and I doing his signature pose.
Stanley was so excited since he'd never been to a game before!

"Wow! This is an awesome view!"

"Heeeeeey batter batter batter!"
Even though the O's lost the game (we're used to it), he had a great ballpark experience.

All too soon, our time together was over. I've sealed him safely away and dropped him with the postman to go visit Nikki in Mississippi! We'll miss him here in Maryland, but I know he'll have an awesome time on his next adventure.

And, hey Nikki? I'd keep him away from the Vodka this time! He just can't hold his alcohol! :]

The Adventures of Flat Stanley in Salt Lake City (Jade Week 9 SLC, Ut)

So Flat Stanley arrived on Monday and it has been a pretty fun week since then. Monday I had to work, but only for a couple of hours. Flat Stanley was just excited to be here though. He tore out of the envelope, he was very ready to be out of it.

Shortly after he was out of there we got to the school to wait for Jonas and he decided he wanted to play hide and seek. He picked a really good hiding spot, but I did find him. He was pretty sneaky though.
Once I found him he was kind of out of spots to go to so he hopped down and helped me with the crossword puzzle. We did the one for kids so he knew quite a few of the answers and we really excited to help me out.
After we got Jonas we went back to his house and played Sceneit, we even let him play a little. He really enjoyed it. Plus he won, he was excited and really like knowing the answers to a lot of the Disney questions. Even if I did have to help him out a little bit.

Tuesday I had the day off, and Nick was off most of the day. So we just kind relaxed at home. But we have this cool lamp thing that you fill with water and it makes mist. At this point in time it doesn't work, but when Flat Stanley saw it he thought it was a personal pool for him. Luckily Nick caught him before he made it in.
After that little scare we just decided it was time to relax and rest. He was a little upset with me because I don't have any pets for him to play with. But he really liked a big stuffed dog we have, so we got a picture of him cuddling with it.
It was his best friend for his time here, and its where he spent his nights.
Wednesday I had to work again. We played out side most of the day and it was really windy so flat stanley didn't like it out there to much. So he stayed in my purse. He was really afraid of blowing away. For the little bit we were in side we did a cool puzzle. He really liked helping us and it was a petty difficult puzzle. Especially when there was pieces missing.

Thursday was a busy day at work, so we didn't get many pictures. He hung out with the boys, watched a few movies played a little wii and did another puzzle. It wasn't a big puzzle so no picture of that. But the part he loved the most was getting to find all the cool places he has been on his adventures so far. I got a picture of him pointing out Utah.
He really enjoyed hanging out with the boys and the boys thought he was pretty cool too.

After work watched the Jazz game with Nick, so I got a picture of him hanging on my Jazz Hoodie. He really enjoyed watching the game with us, and he wanted a jersey, but I totally forgot to go make him one :(

That brings me to Friday. I am sick, and its snowing so all the fun things I wanted to take him out to do we can't do. We did go get some Jamba Juice, he loved it!
and I let him do this cool puzzle. No one else could finish it! There is one piece missing, which he was really upset about, he feels like he didn't actually finish it. I told him he is being silly.
The weekend was really boring for us because Nick and I are both sick and didn't leave bed. So we just did laundy and played some video games. Stanley really like little big planet, I even let him have his own controller.
He thought he was pretty cool even though the controller was way to big for him.
He didn't really enjoy the laundry part of the day though, he kind of got lost in the clothes there for a little while. But we found him, and he was rescued!

I really liked having Stan here with us. He is quite the fun little guy. He is on his way to Kasey now!
I took a lot of pictures so I am sorry. I really like taking pictures lol
