Week 18- Megan S. Troy, Ohio

Stanley had another visit to Ohio! This time north of Cincinnati, and a little North of Dayton in good old Troy Ohio!

Stanley's first adventure was at the Miami County Fair.

Stanley got to see some motorcycles race.

Stanley got to see a sheep covered in a gown to protect it's wool

Stanley got to see a goat, luckily the goat wasn't hungry and didn't eat him

Stanley later got a face-lift, he wanted to get rid of those aging wrinkles!

Stanley's face-lift was a success, Stanley felt good as new!

Marco my cat, wasn't sure what to think of  our house guest Stanley.   

Stanley took a visit at my work, just looking at these words, can you guess where I work? I was really excited to show Stanley our green friend building.

He really enjoyed it and wasn't too afraid of heights.

Argh! Stanley got to hang out with Annie the Pirate.

I was really excited to show Stanley our bathroom at work, it has grass print floor in the bathroom stalls and rock printed floors in the bathroom.

Stanley had a wonderful time with Sarah, she took him on a fun adventure, involving the toilet.

 Stanley was really trying hard to get inside Carrie's Candy jar.

Since we don't get too many boys that come to the office, Sarah was really excited to show Stanley how to use the half-flush on our green friendly toilet.

Sarah was so excited to show Stanley the toilet she taped him to the toilet lid, but Stanley sadly didn't stay there and fell right into the toilet! But don't worry, it was a clean toilet.

Poor Stanley.. Good thing he didn't actually get flushed down the toilet.

Sarah made sure she gave him a good shower.

Since Stanley was bad and fell in the toilet Sarah wanted to cast some paper voodoo on him. So he doesn't fall in the toilet again.

She also filed a complaint for his bad behavior.

Stanley also got to hang out with the mini Chick-fil-a cow.

Overall Stanley had a great time hanging out with me in Troy, Ohio he was really sad that his adventure was over, but looking forward to traveling to new places.

Week 17 - Kyla - Longview, WA

When Stanley arrived from Brandi, I was so excited. I couldn't believe it was my week to visit with the little bugger. The first thing we did, was head off for the grocery store. It was payday, the first one of the month, which meant stock up time. Stanley had told me how excited he was to use a coupon with Brandi, so I gave him the low down on Extreme Couponing.

He couldn't believe how much we saved on everything we got. 

The next day, Stanley and I woke up bright and early to make cinnamon rolls for my husband before he left for work. Stanley informed me that he thoroughly enjoyed cooking, but was excited to know that we were cheating and using pre-made Pillsbury rolls.

That afternoon, Stanley enjoyed beefing up while my husband had physical therapy. He was a bit too short for the leg press, but he tried his hardest.

While my husband was getting his electro-stimulation on his shoulder, Stanley was rather unsure about it, but my husband explained it for him and he decided he would rather not have to endure it.

We asked Stanley what he wanted for dinner, and he said that he really enjoyed Chinese food, so we splurged a little, and got him what he wanted. He said it was a bit different from that of England's, but he enjoyed it just the same. Because he wanted it so badly, he wanted to make sure it would make it home safe, so he buckled himself and the food in for the journey back home. 

Things were pretty uneventful the next few days, mostly just laying around and taking naps with my husband and the dog.

(Mini wasn't too sure about Stanley, but he promised that he was of no threat, so she settled in for a mid-day nap.)

I was hoping to take Stanley to a Seattle Mariner's game, but alas, Longview's a little too far off the beaten path. So, instead, we settled for watching them on tv, and Stanley decided he wasn't too much of a fan. I, of course, informed Stanley that none of us were much of Mariner fans but we try to be hopeful each season, and those who know baseball know why. But Stanley was thrilled when he found out that my husband's physical therapist was a Packer's fan like him.

Much to my, and Stanley's, dismay, our week of visiting came to end. When I took him to the post store, we said our "see you later"s, he's not a fan of "goodbye"s, and he was on his way. But before he went he had me promise to show everyone his new friend, Chiquita. =]

Stanley and I, and my husband, had a wonderful visit and we wish him safe travels and joyful endeavors. 

Week 16- Brandi -Welcome to Spartanburg,SC!

I was so excited when Stanley finally got here! The FIRST thing we did was laundry (as seen above) because I had like 6 loads to do! After that we went to Great Clips with hubs so he could get a haircut. Stanley got a trim too! I gave him one of our coupons to save him some money.

The next day Stanley and I slept in. He was rather tired from traveling.  That night we went to a local brewery called RJ Rockers. Stanley got a little tipsy on Son of a Peach (peach beer). We bought a growler for him to bring home.

This is Stanley with the growler of Son of a Peach. Stanley had a great time. He asked to take the growler with him to Kyla's house, but he realized that he wouldn't be able to carry it.

We took Stanley on golf outing the weekend he was here. He played well, but didn't win the tournament.

Before Stanley left, I took him to my alma mater, Winthrop University. We visited Tillman Hall, the admissions building...

Then we visited the building that all of my classes were in.

Then after that Stanley went swimming and almost got in trouble with Campus PD.

My friend and I took Stanley around a few more places on Campus.

Michael and I sadly hugged Stanley goodbye and sent him on his way to Washington. Good Luck in your travels little buddy!

Week 15 - Megan L, North Carolina!

Hello TN world!  Sorry this has taken so long, it's been a chaotic couple of weeks and then, of course, my computer broke.  Some pictures have also been lost, But better late than never!

I was so excited when Stanley arrived from his long voyage over the Atlantic.  He seemed a bit tired and desperately wanted to stretch his legs a bit.  So we kind of just relaxed that first night and hung out.  When Colin came home, he was very intrigued by his uniform.  After talking a bit about what is was like to be a Marine, he asked if he could join Colin at work the following day.   Now, Colin said yes of course but we informed Stanley that he had to be dressed appropriately if he wanted to go on base.

Well after all of that, Stanley was ready to come home and just relax.  He and Keira bonded so quickly and became super close!

  I think Keira may have had a little crush on Stanley, as seen by the smooching.

If Stanley could have blushed, I think he would have.


Then July 4th was upon us!  Since Colin was deploying the next day, we decided to throw a big party.  Stanley was the life of the whole event!  He even beat a bunch of guys playing beer pong.

Unfortunately, Stanley doesn't hold his liquor well, and soon after this we found him passed out on our toilet.

The next day was a sad day for the Leitch household, so Stanley graciously stayed behind while we did our goodbyes (plus, he had a wicked hangover!).  He did give me a nice hug when I returned that evening, and then we all hit the hay.

We had a really nice picture of Stanley holding an American flag, but I fear it may have gotten lost in the chaos.  We hope Stanley enjoyed being here as much as we enjoyed having him!  He is becoming quite the worldly man!
